MyStory Wine Company Malbec Is Best of Class Winner at 2021 All Americas American Fine Wine Competition

MyStory Wine Company is proud to announce that the 2017 Bourbon Barrel Aged Malbec just won the Best of Class in Other Red Single Varietal at the 2021 All Americas American Fine Wine Competition. This competition took place on May 30, 2021 at Florida International University.

The AFWC was co-founded by Shari Gherman, Monty Preiser, and Sara Preiser, who have been in the wine industry for more than 30 years. AFWC began in 2007 and has become the most-influential wine invitational in the country. Since its inception, more than $1,100,000 has been donated by AFWC to multiple charities.

The All Americas competition encompasses all the Americas – from Canada to Argentina.  This is an open competition so commercial wineries may send their wines. Medals are awarded – bronze, silver, gold, double gold, Best of Class and Best of Show.

This competition consists of a two-day, blind-tasting where judges representing all aspects of the wine industry evaluate the wines and award medals accordingly. Wines receiving a Best of Show or Best of Class Award will also receive tasting notes from our judges.

The MyStory Bourbon Barrel aged Malbec has hints of red berries, wild sage, and black currant that are intertwined with subtle vanilla notes from the bourbon barrels. The flavors are balanced and rich with layers of pleasantly assertive tannins overlaid with enticing oak. The finish is rich and complex which enables additional aging of the wine.
